So Obama wants to re-write the tax code to make filing taxes simpler.

“For too long, we’ve seen taxes used as a wedge to scare people into supporting policies that increased the burden on working people instead of helping them live their dreams,” Obama said. “That has to change, and that’s the work that we’ve begun.”

Oh… it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.. BARF!

Simpler… right… simpler to take our money. Make it easier to say across the board I we want half and here is what we’ll allow you to deduct! Most likely making sure they (the government) get more of our hard earned money.

Just more smoke and mirrors.

HR 45 May be More Troubling Than the Average Anti-gun Bill

It’s unconstitutional. It allows the government access to psych records and a whole lot more.

Last week they started a campaign to combat the “Employee Free Choice Act”, which was submitted to congress today.

The newsletter states…

This bill would effectively eliminate our right to vote by private ballot when deciding whether to join a union, and undermine our right to freely negotiate contracts. It would also kill jobs in America when we need them most.

We need to stand together as Americans.. sign this petition and help stop the “Employee Free Choice Act” from becoming a reality. Our current Government wants to strip Americans of our freedoms one-by-one.

Take a stand and sign. I did!

Clinton was asked his perspective on how the country fell into such economic hard times, Clinton responded in an NBC “Today” show interview by asking rhetorically: “Did any of them seriously believe that if I had been president and my economic team had been in place the last eight years, that this would be taking place.”

Are you F#@!king kidding me. His administration is the root of this problem. He’s the idiot who came up with the campaign about making it possible for every American to buy a home. This is where the term creative lending came from. Sure.. you make minimum wage, have a credit score of 400 but you qualify to buy a house 10x’s your means of being able to pay it with this 5 year introductory offer of 0% blah, blah, blah. It’s frustratingly ridiculous that Clinton has the gaul to say his administration wouldn’t be in a crisis like this.

What put me over the top in this article was that he claims to be in communication with President Obama over “nuts and bolts” issues of the presidency and how to keep things from “falling through the cracks.”

We live in very scary times and its not because of the state of the people or the economy, its because of the people we allow to run  things.

Republican Senators DeMint and Coburn are calling for the removal of funding for hike and bike trails in the Recovery plan.

On Tuesday, February 2, 2009, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), chair of the Senate Steering Committee, told Newsmax, that the stimulus bill is a “sham” and that “When people see bike trails and hiking trails and golf courses, they know this is not designed to stimulate the economy and create jobs,” DeMint says.

The following is response from Rep. Blumenauer, founder of the Congressional Bike Caucus regarding this issue:

“Republican amendments and assertions that the creation of hike and bike trails in the recovery plan will not create jobs or stimulate the economy shows us just short-sighted and out of touch they are. Investment in bike paths will not only improve our economy, and take our country in the right direction for our future; it is precisely the kind of investment the American people want. American families have indicated time and again in the passage of bond measures across the country that they favor spending on alternative transportation, such as bicycles and mass transit, over spending on more highway capacity. Americans want a real solution to the economic crisis, not just a band-aid fix. These investments will stimulate the economy in the present and point our nation toward the economic and environmental realities of the future.”

American families have indicated time and again in the passage of bond measures across the country that they favor spending on alternative transportation, such as bicycles and mass transit, over spending on mere highway capacity. Americans want real solutions to the economic crisis, not just a band-aid fix. These investments will stimulate our economy now – when it counts and point our nation toward the economic and environmental realities of the future.

If you think about.. look at the economic good that came out of the CCC who built trails all accross the country creating thousands if not more jobs during the Great Depression. The CCC in my eyes is one of many factors that helped bring America out of that touch economic time.

If the outdoors and access to it is important to you then write and email or send a letter to your representatives letting them know that you are against the removal of trail building from the latest stimulus package.

First, let no one tell you that this election was a failure of conservatism–it was the product of failed Republican leadership. Conservatism gave way to “compassionate” big-government Republicanism, which failed big time. Too many on Capitol Hill abandoned first principles like fiscal discipline, and failed to connect with middle class economic anxiety that has been brewing for two years, not two months. When one loses one’s sense of purpose, so too goes moral clarity and credibility.

Despite all this, and despite Obama’s huge money and media advantage, 56 million Americans still pulled the lever for the Republican ticket. That is not nothing. It certainly is a base we can build on.

Second, we are moving into a new era that demands new leadership. You who were not lulled into complacency and stood for conservatism are going to have more influence over the GOP going forward than you’ve had during the Bush years. So take heart.

Third, after Inauguration Day, President Obama will have to finally start making some hard choices that no liberal has had to make. Is he really willing to trash the economy in an effort to stop global warming? Is he really willing to let terrorists reign in the Middle East? Is he really willing to go along with the casual anti-Americanism of most Europeans? If he does, his popularity will erode quickly. Conservatives, in the meantime, will be rebuilding, and refreshing their message and messengers.

Fourth, communications skills matter. Laugh all you want about Obama’s soaring rhetoric (and we do), there is no doubt that we got beaten in the PR department. We must cultivate a new generation of leaders who are both proud of their conservative beliefs and comfortable articulating them with vision, clarify and optimism.

Fifth, too many Americans — younger people especially — don’t understand conservatism. Obama advertised everything under the sun (health care, tax cuts, expanded government services, compassionate judges, peace in our time). Those who’ve never learned the basics of American history or conservative philosophy have a hard time grasping how anyone could oppose this bill of goods. Part of the answer is taking back our schools and universities. We also need to stop relying on ineffective slogans (“legislating from the bench,” “class warfare,” “socialism!”) and start conveying broader principles and truths through direct, pithy language.

Let the rebuilding begin!

The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world works, no balls, nothing but abstract, empty rhetoric devoid of real substance.

He has no real identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya . Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively.

What he isn’t, not a genetic drop of, is ‘African-American,’ the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn’t a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners. Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.

Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah.

It’s something Hillary doesn’t understand – how some complete neophyte came out of the blue and stole the Dem nomination from her. Obamamania is beyond politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity yet still believe in Original Sin, transferring it from the evil of being human to the evil of being white.

Thus Obama has become the white liberals’ Christ, offering absolution from the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it. The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him: Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd.

Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.

His candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American. Pass this on to every thinking American you know!
