Amish Spanking Stories?

So this morning I jumped into my Google Analytics account and decided to see what stats were like for this website. I was curious because I don’t post here that often and I don’t do any search engine optimization on any of the content. Much to my surprise my blog had several search results for Amish spanking related keywords.

I do search engine optimization for a living and go through lots of log files with various search queries, and in my 10 years in the industry, Amish spanking stories is by far the weirdest keyword phrase I ever seen.

This made me curious.. what actually shows up in Google for this particular query of Amish spanking stories. I was thinking is it gonna be a bunch of fetish sites or something. It turned that there were several listings / articles about Amish living, their view of spanking as punishment (more like sever beatings) etc.

I found this one post by the author of The 4-hr Work Week. On his blog theres a 2-Part article about a girl who escaped from an Amish community so she could get an education.

I grew up in the Midwest where there seems to be more Amish culture… I always viewed the Amish as these gentle carpenters and cheese makers. But it seems they are more like the Mormons… male dominated communities who beat their woman & children into submission and get away with it because of their ridiculous religious beliefs.

The reason my blog shows up for Amish spanking is because in the “From My Inbox” category there are two posts… one is an Amish elevator joke and the other is a joke about spanking your child for discipline…
